Background Supply chains are involved in the production and delivery of almost every good or service. ability to recognize and identify the supply chains involved with specific products is a useful and necessary skill for everyone involved with logistics and supply management. This project is intended to introduce students to the thinking and the process of identifying and describing various supply chains. The Assignment 1) Find a common but specific physical product or good that you can either safely sassemble or otherwise gain visibility to the components and subcomponents within it and request instructor approval for your choice di Disassemble or otherwise identify a minimum of five levels o manufactured or industrially processed components. 2) Write a one page introduction which includes a product description and overview of how supply chains work in general. Be sure to describe as much information about the product as possible such as make, model, manufacturer, retailer, age, cost, and other related information. 3) 4) For each component, identify or defend a well educated guess about the company manufactured it, where they are located, how long they have been in business, how much revenue and profits they earn each year, and how many people they employ. If you are unable to identify a component try to find another set of sequentially inter-nested components where the identification of the manufacturers is possible. As a last resort, you may make an assumption about which specific company manufactured the component as long as you clearly disclose this and describe the company as required above. Look up whatever information is available about the manufacturi each component and write at least a half page summary for each. Try to include the 5) g process used to make ps that are involved in each manufacturing process as well as a description nable assumptions about the of the various logistical and support steps which might be required. If no specific process as long as you fully disclose the assumptions. Write a half page summary of the supply chain you identified and the process you used to identify it. Be sure to include the total time parts flowed through the supply chain and the total distance traveled from the start of your supply chain to the final consumer 6) Reports will be graded on the basis of the accuracy, realism, detail, completeness, and quality of the report. Print your report only on one side of standard sized paper and affix with paper clips (not staples) to receive full credit and submit it to the instructor
