Good Morning class, As a stakeholder in Amazon, I was pleased to find yet another article discussing the company. The article discusses the top 250 companies, as far as their management grades, Amazon is ranked number one, despite a low “social responsibility” grade. The authors state that: “The lackluster grade comes after years of critical news reports about the working conditions of its warehouse workers and poor marks from activists for not being more transparent about its environmental record. Yet, its mighty innovation score—so high that it lies off the charts compared with other companies’ scores—catapulted it to first place.” Amazon has since established a high-profile “corporate responsibility team” to deal with these issues.
